Film is multi-functional and can be lap or fin sealed and crimp or impulse sealed.
Ultimate film thickness variation can be held between +/- 3%.
Blown films vary at least +/- 10%.
This is critical as films reduce in thickness because the sealing window is narrowed.
Ultimate has significantly reduced the thickness of both Asda and Tesco potato film.
Dramatic reduction in packaging weight liability without affecting performance of packs.
Asda 2.5kg packs reduced from 40 micron to 30 micron - tonnage reduction per annum 100 tonnes.
Successful trials have already been run with both retailers in 28 micron.
