Christmas came early for employees at one North East Lincolnshire business as they took part in a 'Santas on the Run' event in Cleethorpes on Sunday 13 December.
The team from Ultimate Packaging - one of the UK's leading flexographic print suppliers to the food industry - clad in red and white Santa suits and white beards, took part in the two-mile fun run to raise money for local children's charity, St Andrew's Hospice.
Generous suppliers and colleagues of the Ultimate Packaging Santa runners pledged £5,000 for the local cause and Mike Gresham fundraiser for the hospice commented: "A big thank you to the team at Ultimate Packaging who have raised a fantastic amount of money for the hospice. Without the generosity of local companies and individuals we could not continue to provide the level of care that we do and so again, thanks to all who gave up their free time to take part in the Santa Run."
St. Andrew's Hospice provides holistic care for children and young people living in Lincolnshire, Hull and East Riding. All the children and young people in its care have progressive life limiting illnesses. The hospice aims to improve quality of life, to bring fun into their everyday routines by providing specialist medical and nursing care and to keep them smiling. Extensive help and support is also offered to their families and carers.
