Louise Blyth, IT supervisor at Ultimate Packaging has been nominated for her talent and achievement within IT for the Top 30 under 30 in the Hull and Humber region.
The top 30 under 30 is was set up to recognise young talent and to celebrate achievements and contributions to local businesses and the region, with the aim to educate and inspire the younger generations.
Louise said that “I was very shocked and overwhelmed with the achievement…I didn’t believe it at first. It is great to be recognised for my hard work”
With a flair for IT Louise started her career with an apprenticeship at John Whitgift Academy where she learnt an array of skills.
“I have always had an interest in IT and a natural ability as I always seemed to have excelled in it, the opportunity of an apprenticeship came up and I haven’t looked back since!”
After that Louise came straight to Ultimate where she has now been working for 5 years. Throughout her time at Ultimate Louise has climbed the career ladder, starting as an IT administrator and developing her skills, she is now IT supervisor supplying support to her team.
Paul Gowing, IT Manager at Ultimate Packaging who works very closely with Louise says that “Louise has come a long way since the day she joined Ultimate. Starting as a Helpdesk Admin, moving up to IT Engineer and then becoming the IT Supervisor all in a relatively short space of time shows how far and how quickly she has progressed. Louise has become a valuable member of the team and with winning this award, her achievements as an IT Professional have been recognised in the wider business community as well.”
Louise told me that she enjoys working at Ultimate Packaging “I learn something new every day as technology changes all the time. I love a challenge, and Ultimate allow me to get involved in innovative design projects which push my ability”
Ultimate are proud to have Louise as a member of our team, and we are looking forward to helping Louise’s career develop and watching her grow from strength to strength.
